Laying, gluing and welding pool liners correctly
In this article, I describe how the new pool liner was laid, glued and welded to the walls and floor of our new pool. The pool steps and the sunbathing area in the water were lined with a special pool liner that makes the surface non-slip. The new pool in the garden was built with concrete formwork blocks and replaces our old steel wall pool. Before I can lay the liner in the concrete pool, some preparations are necessary. In this article I will show you every step.

Dewinterizing the pool – putting pool technology into operation and adjusting water values
In spring, dewinterizing my pool is at the top of my to-do list. The winter safety devices must be dismantled and the pool technology must be installed. The water values are checked and readjusted. Inflatable whirlpool MSpa Alpine Tekapo – experience after 1 year
We were able to extensively test our inflatable hot tub, the MSpa Alpine, for a good year. Now it’s time to give feedback on usage, maintenance, pros and cons. Is a whirlpool bath worth it? I have written a first article on the construction of the whirlpool here.

Build your own pool – Masonry walls with reinforcement | Set formwork stones
The plans for the construction of our new pool in the garden were finalized and the construction of the pool could continue with the masonry of the pool walls. This step was not particularly complicated, but it was much more time-consuming to implement. This time the pool was built from solid stones. Of course, these had to be carried to the construction site first. Of course, the formwork blocks also had to be cut and adjusted before installation. In the following article, I describe how we implemented all of this to build our new pool in the garden.

Plan your own pool and create a 3D floor plan
The layout for our new pool was partially predetermined by the retaining walls of the old oval steel wall pool. However, some adjustments were still possible and also necessary. The new pool in our garden was definitely going to have steps and a seating platform in the water was also planned. The old excavation pit offered several possibilities – but none for a classic rectangular pool. The demolition of the old pool landscape was completed and it was now time for me to make some thoughts and plans for the new concrete pool. How could I get the best out of these specifications? And what tools could I use to…

Converting the pool – demolishing the old retaining walls
The pool remodel in our backyard is still in full swing. The steel wall pool is to be converted into a stone pool. For this purpose, the oval steel-walled pool, which is sunk into the ground, must first be dismantled. I had already removed the foil, the skimmer, the inlet nozzles and also the LED underwater spotlight in the previous weeks. The steel wall was also removed in one piece.
