Set up Reolink camera
The Reolink surveillance cameras offer many functions. But what settings do I need to make to achieve the best results? And what is the difference between the settings on the network video recorder (NVR) and the camera? I would like to describe the setup and configuration of my Reolink PoE IP camera in more detail in the following article. You can also watch the entire installation process at

Balcony power station – Set up the Solarman app
With a balcony power plant it is possible to cover the basic consumption of electricity in the household. But how do you monitor power generation? How do I know if the system is actually profitable? Quite clearly: with a program for analyzing, evaluating and monitoring PV power generation. Balcony power plant – PV modules and inverters In my blog entry 800W Balcony Power Plant Easy Install & Optimize Yourself I described in detail the setup and connection of a 800W balcony power plant. The matching video can also be seen there. While the PV modules merely convert the sunlight into direct current, the inverter performs other tasks in addition…

800W balcony power plant easy to install & optimize by yourself
To cover the base load I have installed a small 300W balcony power plant for quite some time. I was able to gain some experience and optimize my own use of solar power. Now I am replacing my 300W balcony power plant with a new 800W balcony power plant. In addition to the new PV modules, I renew the substructure, the microinverter and, of course, the connection to the house grid. During my rebuild, a few questions came up, which I would like to answer with this entry and my video: 👉 What components does a balcony power plant consist of? 👉 How to fix a balcony power station?…

Install Reolink RLN36 NVR | Install hard disk and set up camera
To monitor my property, I had set up a camera surveillance system. Nine Hikvison and Trendnet cameras monitored every nook and cranny on the site. The data was stored on a QNAP NAS. The system ran cleanly and stably – but also at the capacity limit. The amount of data from the cameras was simply too large and I had to think about how to future-proof my surveillance system. So I decided to build a Reolink camera system and store the data on an NVR, a

Prepare your lawn in spring for the gardening season
It’s the beginning of March and winter is slowly retreating. It’s time for me to take care of my garden and bring it out of hibernation. Today I want to take care of my lawn. There is a lot to do, especially in spring. Mowing the lawn, fertilizing the lawn, reseeding the lawn, in addition to scarifying and aerating, are just a few things that I would like to tackle today. I also have to reactivate my water taps and my lawn irrigation system after the winter. Looking back on winter Last winter was characterized by long periods of rain and strong storms. The cold temperatures and frosty nights…

2. set up balcony power station in the garden and connect in series.
Despite my balcony power plant in the backyard and lower electricity consumption, electricity costs keep going up. According to the http://strom-report.de, KWh of electricity costs an average of 34.6 cents. New contracts currently cost as much as 41 cents. It is therefore necessary to think about cost-effective alternatives. Making electricity yourself – what alternatives are there? I can’t really make myself self-sufficient from an external power supply in Germany. Whether electric power from photovoltaic modules, wind power or even combined heat and power plants: Either I am dependent on the whims of nature, as with solar and wind power, and or on an external energy source such as oil…

Draining the cellar – 1 year later

Build garden kitchen yourself – walls with gas concrete masonry
The foundation of the garden kitchen was ready and now the masonry with the gas concrete blocks could start. In total, my project to the new outdoor right by the pool had an already a delay of 6 months. Cov19, shortage of materials and craftsmen sent their regards. The weather also very often put a spoke in my wheel. But now the time had come and it could start. Choice of materials for the garden kitchen The new garden kitchen should be built solid. I had already drawn up the plans for the kitchen, so I was able to estimate the material consumption quite well. The shortlist included Poroton…
