Build your own garden kitchen – brick and glue walls with aerated concrete
After the base of the new garden kitchen was set and aligned with the gas concrete blocks, I could now start building the walls with the Ytong blocks. A special feature here should become the bar counter of the pool bar, in addition to the window on the south side.

Build your own garden kitchen – Masonry walls with aerated concrete
The foundation of the garden kitchen was ready and now the masonry with the gas concrete blocks could start. Overall, my project for the new outdoor kitchen right by the pool had already been delayed by 6 months. Cov19, shortage of materials and craftsmen sent their regards. Of course, these had to be carried to the construction site first. Of course, the formwork blocks also had to be cut and adjusted before installation. In the following article, I describe how we implemented all of this to build our new pool in the garden.

Plan your own pool and create a 3D floor plan
The layout for our new pool was partially predetermined by the retaining walls of the old oval steel wall pool. However, some adjustments were still possible and also necessary. The new pool in our garden was definitely going to have steps and a seating platform in the water was also planned. The old excavation pit offered several possibilities – but none for a classic rectangular pool. The demolition of the old pool landscape was completed and it was now time for me to make some thoughts and plans for the new concrete pool. How could I get the best out of these specifications? And what tools could I use to…
