MSpa Alpine Delight – Inflatable whirlpool for sauna

To relax and unwind after a hard day at work I created a small spa area in the basement. Especially in winter we can relax well in the sauna and at the same time strengthen our defenses. So far we had to do without a refreshing bath because our garden pool is not usable in winter.

A whirlpool for the sauna – MSpa Alpine Delight

So what could be more natural than to set up a small whirlpool in our wellness oasis in the basement. Unfortunately, the available space was limited. Only just under two meters were available to us.

However, most inflatable hot tubs are between 1.80m and 2.20m. We therefore deliberately opted for a smaller model.

The MSpa Alpine Delight is square and has an external dimension of 1.58m x 1.58m. The interior has a size of 1.18m x 1.18m and thus offers enough space for up to four adults. The capacity is 650 liters.

The spa is marketed under the name “Alpine”, but on the Internet I bought it under the name the “Tekapo”.

This model also has an integrated heater that can heat the water up to 40 ° C. In addition, I ordered a separate pad. These four mats in the format 80 x 80 cm can be put together like a puzzle and then you get a base area of 1.60m x 1.60m.

Since the pool has an integrated inflation function, the assembly and installation was done in just under an hour.

I let the water in with a garden hose. I connected this directly to the shower hose. Thus, I was able to directly let warm water into the pool. This saves quite a bit of heating time.

Performance data MSpa Alpine Delight

With a total power of 2100W, this pool is not without. 1500W is used for heating and 600W for massage jets. The pool runs on 220V and 50Hz. It is therefore compatible with the European system.

The filter pump has a power consumption of 35W and manages 1,325 liters per hour. The heater is approved for ranges from 20°C to 40°C, respectively the manufacturer specifies this performance range.

The special feature of this MSpa pool is that it has a UV-C disinfection unit. According to the description, there should be a UV-C lamp in the pump group which automatically disinfects the water.

I can certainly imagine the capacity of four people when I look at the pool in the assembled state. When I originally read the dimensions of 1.58m x 1.58m in outdoor format I was still a bit skeptical. After all, this leaves only 1.18m x 1.18m in internal dimensions.

108 massage jets ensure that the water later bubbles pleasantly powerful. And for it to bubble properly, of course it needs a lot of water. A total of 650 liters of water come in this pool.

By the way, the heating capacity is specified as 2°C to 2.5°C per hour. That is quite sporty.

The weight without water is 21kg. The package could still be carried quite well on its own. Two people certainly make more sense. However, I doubt I could easily reassemble the pool to fit back into the old packaging.

Accessories and scope of delivery

Speaking of packaging. The whirlpool also includes:

• • the wired multifunction remote control
  • the insulated cover with quick release
  • two filter cartridges
  • a hose with pressure gauge for inflation
  • an adapter for the garden hose
  • a repair kit
  • and German assembly instructions

Long-term test – analysis of consumption costs
