EasyCarport – delivery of the self-assembly kit

Once the base and post anchors were set, we just had to wait for the kit to be delivered. The carport of the company “Easy Carport” was assembled and ordered online.

When placing the order, we had set a desired date 3 months in the future. Since the construction plans and post anchors were sent immediately, we had enough time for preparation.

The carport comes with the semitrailer

The kit was delivered, after consultation then even a week earlier – which suited us well.

First, the shipping company called us to arrange a delivery date. Likewise, the spatial conditions were coordinated – after all, a large semitrailer truck does not fit through every street.

The delivery was planned for Friday. But already on Thursday afternoon the driver called us and asked if we could also be there in 2 to 3h. He would be on his way faster than planned.

I guess we were the last recipients on his tour and he wanted to work out Friday.

Since we were on vacation that week, early delivery was not a problem. 2h later the driver called again and coordinated the access route with us. Another 15 minutes later, the 4o ton tractor-trailer arrived.

The unloading was done by the piggyback forklift that was attached to the rear of the semitrailer.

A small kit for a large carport?

After unloading, I was initially unsure whether this could have been everything. Somehow I had expected a significantly larger package.

Only one package with approximate dimensions of 6 x 1.5 x 0.5 meters was unloaded. There should be a complete kit for a carport in there?

However, unhooking the shipping list showed no missing goods as everything was delivered complete. The individual packages of the kit also had no damage and were well labeled throughout.

The driver unloaded a 2nd package for me. In it are the additional 14cm posts. I had ordered the carport with 14cm posts, but could use the 12cm posts from the kit later elsewhere.

Easy Carport – Kit contents

After carefully removing the foil, I realized why the package looked so small. The kit was packed very effectively. 4 posts, the 4 side headbands, all 7 crossbars and the paint buckets were effectively packed.

In addition to the wooden beams and the trapezoidal sheets for 36sqm of roof, the delivery also included a complete set for drainage and all the necessary screws and hardware.
