Slope stabilization – stack 2 gabions
Over a period of a few weeks, I built the first row of gabions over a length of around 30 meters. A relatively straight section was followed by a slight bend. By placing the gabions inside each other, I was able to form a corner on the south-east side. Towards the end, the difference in height to the existing gabion wall was evened out using a gabion terrace.

Securing slopes with gabions – installing stones correctly
I had now erected the first row of gabions on my earth slope over a length of a good 30 meters. I drew a nice curve for the next 20 meters and then built a real corner with a height offset for the remaining meters. Before I could install the second row of stone baskets, the bottom row first had to be filled with stones.
