Excavating the slope – preparing the ground for the gabion wall

In this video I show how I prepared the slope with the excavator for the new gabion wall. The 30-meter-long slope became 2 meters narrower and at the same time over 2 meters high. The loamy soil was so wet and heavy that I had to work with a larger excavator from the second day onwards.
