The Hcalory TB MAX 8 kW diesel heater is one of the most modern diesel parking heaters and combines a compact design, smart app control and high heat output with low consumption. In my detailed test, I show how the diesel parking heater performs in the motorhome, when camping or in the workshop, which technical innovations distinguish it from older Vevor models and which safety functions make the heater special. Visually, the Hcalory TB MAX diesel parking heater has a sophisticated, modern design. The weatherproof metal housing is reminiscent of a robust tool case and gives the impression of high stability as soon as it is unpacked. Weighing around 13 kg, it is one of the most compact 8 kW diesel heaters in its class and is easy to transport thanks to the integrated double handles. The neatly positioned connections for air, diesel and exhaust lines as well as the clearly structured front section clearly distinguish the TB MAX from earlier models of the brand.
Compared to older versions, such as the Kroak TB2 diesel parking heater (8 kW), the combustion chamber has been redesigned and now ensures faster and more efficient heat transfer. The fuel pump also works more quietly and evenly, which makes operation more pleasant – a point I already emphasized in my comparison of 5 diesel parking heaters 2025.
The TB MAX also uses an improved electronic control system that works with more precise temperature control. In conjunction with the app connection and the CO sensor in the remote control, this results in a significant increase in convenience and safety compared to classic models. The unboxing of the Hcalory diesel heater shows very good pre-assembly – all pipes, hoses and cables are already prepared, which makes commissioning much easier. Setting up & commissioning the diesel heater
Installation of the Hcalory TB MAX diesel parking heater is particularly easy thanks to the plug-and-play design and can also be carried out by users without prior knowledge. In my test, I initially installed the heating system outside my heating box so that I could continue to use the existing air and flue gas pipes. All connections are pre-assembled, which makes commissioning much quicker than with conventional retrofit systems.
Step-by-step instructions
1. connect exhaust
The stainless steel exhaust hose is already pre-assembled on the TB MAX and is around 60 cm long. It is attached to the exhaust pipe and fixed in place with the enclosed metal clamp. For a permanently tight connection, we recommend the use of exhaust assembly paste or heat-resistant silicone, which hardens at high temperatures and prevents leaks. The connection must be gas-tight, as CO and NOx are produced during operation of the heating system.
2. observe the gradient
The flue gas pipe should always be laid with a slight gradient to the outside. This prevents condensate from accumulating in the pipe, which would lead to sooting and corrosion in the long term. A slope of around 2 to 3 percent is sufficient for the condensation to drain away safely. When using in a motorhome or camper, make sure that the opening of the exhaust pipe is at least 30 cm above the ground to prevent backflow and icing.
3. connect hot air
The warm air outlet of the TB MAX has a diameter of 90 mm and delivers a high air volume that heats even larger rooms quickly. If you are already using a 75 mm hot air distribution system – for example in an older Vevor parking heater or a DIY heating box – you can continue working without any problems using an adapter. The aluminum laminate air hose is heat-resistant and can be fitted with additional insulation on request to reduce heat loss.
4. establish power supply
The TB MAX diesel parking heater can be operated either with the 220 V power supply unit supplied or via a 12 V or 24 V battery. During the starting process, the glow plug draws around 10 amps for a short time; in continuous operation, the power consumption is around 40 watts. Anyone using the heater in a motorhome or off-grid operation should provide a stable power source with at least 10 A fuse protection. For permanent installation, encapsulated cabling with a rubber seal is recommended to protect the plug connections against moisture.
5. starting the heating
Once the flue gas, air and electricity have been connected, the heating can be started via the LCD control panel, the wireless remote control or the app control. The integrated combustion chamber made of die-cast aluminum ignites automatically as soon as diesel is injected into the nozzle. After a few seconds, the fan starts to move the air and the warm air flows out of the outlet with noticeable intensity. The entire starting process takes around 90 to 120 seconds.
Additional tip
When operating the mobile parking heater, always ensure that there is a sufficient supply of fresh air and that the exhaust gas duct is sealed. For stationary use in particular – for example in a garden shed, camper or motorhome – it is advisable to check the exhaust pipe regularly and only operate the heater in well-ventilated areas.

Safety and CO monitoring – crucial when operating a diesel parking heater
Safety is the top priority when operating a diesel parking heater. Every diesel heater produces exhaust gases during the combustion process, including carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and hydrocarbons. These gases are colorless and odorless – and can be life-threatening if there is insufficient ventilation. Even a few hundred ppm (parts per million) of carbon monoxide in the air can cause headaches, dizziness and nausea; higher concentrations can lead to unconsciousness or even suffocation within a few minutes.
The Hcalory TB MAX diesel parking heater counters this risk with a whole range of integrated safety functions. The most important component is the radio remote control with built-in CO sensor. It permanently monitors the ambient air and reacts as soon as the CO content reaches a critical threshold value. In this case, not only does an acoustic alarm sound, but the heating switches off automatically to prevent further carbon monoxide formation.
The electronics also have overheating protection: if the combustion chamber exceeds a temperature of around 270 °C, the fuel supply stops to prevent the system from burning out or diesel ignition. Short-circuit and reverse polarity protection protects the control unit when connected to 12V or 24V systems. The diesel supply is also automatically interrupted when the heating is switched off so that no fuel flows in uncontrolled.
Typical risks when operating a diesel parking heater
- Flue gas backflow due to incorrectly routed pipes – occurs if the flue gas hose is too long, kinked or installed without a gradient. In this case, hot gases may flow back into the appliance or into the interior.
- Leaks in the flue gas pipe – small cracks or leaking connections can lead CO into the living area. Sealing with exhaust paste or heat silicone is therefore mandatory.
- Insufficient ventilation – if installed indoors, there is a risk of suffocation due to lack of oxygen and CO enrichment. The heating should therefore always be installed outside the living or working space.
- Condensation in the flue gas pipe – water collects in horizontally laid pipes and can block the flow of flue gas. This can lead to sooted components or misfiring.
Additional safety tips for everyday life
- Install CO and smoke detectors: In addition to the built-in sensor, an additional, independent CO detector in the interior is recommended. A networked smoke and CO detector system that warns on several floors simultaneously is even safer.

- Ensure ventilation: Air supply openings must not be blocked; the appliance should be operated in an open, well-ventilated area.
- Distance to combustible materials: Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm around the exhaust and hot air outlet, as these parts become very hot during operation.
- Maintenance and cleaning: Regularly remove deposits in the combustion chamber or diesel residues to prevent misfiring.
With these measures and the standard safety equipment, the Hcalory TB MAX 8 kW diesel heater shows that modern diesel parking heaters 2025 are not only efficient, but also significantly safer. The combination of automatic CO monitoring, temperature-controlled switch-off and robust exhaust gas routing reduces the risk to a minimum in everyday use – whether camping, in the workshop or in a motorhome.

Testing the diesel heater – heat output, volume and consumption
For the practical test, I used the Hcalory TB MAX diesel heater both in the animal house and in the workshop – both rooms cover around 20 m². The appliance started up reliably and delivered noticeably warm air after around three minutes. The manufacturer promises so-called fast heating, and the air in the combustion chamber does indeed heat up very quickly.
In order to objectively measure the actual heat output, I measured the temperatures with an infrared thermal imaging camera. This allows not only point values to be recorded, but also temperature distributions on surfaces and in the room – a helpful tool for evaluating the real efficiency of a diesel heating system.
Measured values from my test
- Exhaust gas temperature after start-up: approx. 75 °C
- Warm air temperature at the outlet: up to 23 °C after a few minutes
- Volume: approx. 65 dB, i.e. comparable to normal conversation volume
- Consumption: between 0.12 and 0.36 liters of diesel per hour, depending on the power level and ambient temperatures
Compared to the Vevor 8 kW diesel parking heater, the Hcalory TB MAX works much more evenly. The typical pump clacking is barely perceptible, which is due to the improved feed pump. Nevertheless, the heater remains audible during operation – especially the flow noise of the fan and the air outlet.
Options for noise reduction
If you want to reduce the volume even further, you can retrofit the system with a few specific measures:
- Cross-talk silencer in the hot air duct:
These silencers, originally developed for air conditioning and ventilation systems, significantly reduce sound transmission in the hot air hose. They consist of a perforated inner tube with a sound-absorbing insulating cover that absorbs vibrations and resonances. In the test, this reduced the noise level by around 3-5 dB. - Optimized exhaust silencer:
The TB MAX’s standard silencer is compact, but dampens the high frequencies in particular. A larger stainless steel silencer with a multi-layered internal structure (reflection and absorption chambers) can significantly reduce exhaust noise even further. It is important that the exhaust gas back pressure does not increase too much, as this can affect the combustion chamber performance. - Sound decoupling of the pump:
The fuel pump can also be mounted on rubber buffers or silicone strips to prevent structure-borne noise. As a result, vibrations are not transmitted to the housing, which further minimizes the typical clicking noise.
With these retrofits, the already quiet TB MAX diesel parking heater can be operated almost as quietly as a living room – ideal for installation in motorhomes, when camping or in smaller workshops where a discreet background noise level is important.
The combination of consistent heat output, low consumption and the possibility of achieving even more comfort and quiet running through simple structural adjustments shows that the Hcalory TB MAX is one of the most sophisticated 8 kW diesel parking heaters of 2025.

App and remote control – convenient control of the diesel air heater
The app control is one of the biggest developments of the Hcalory TB MAX diesel parking heater. The heater can be paired directly with the smartphone via Bluetooth. All central functions such as temperature control, timer control and power adjustment can be carried out in the app. The current operating status, supply voltage and temperature are also clearly displayed.
Particularly practical: several devices can be managed within the app – ideal for users who operate several diesel heaters at different locations, such as in a motorhome, workshop or garden shed.

The remote control measures the carbon monoxide concentration in the room and actively intervenes in the heating process. If the preset limit value is exceeded, the heating switches off automatically and triggers an acoustic alarm at the same time.
