After all, the carport should also serve as a shelter for celebrations in bad weather.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, of course, one of my surveillance cameras should also be installed on the carport. Thanks to this capability, PoE is particularly reliable and user-friendly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Installation and maintenance<\/strong>: PoE simplifies installation as only one cable needs to be laid to ensure both data transmission and power supply.<\/p>\n<p>This reduces the effort and cost of additional power cables and makes maintenance easier, as there are fewer cables and connections that could potentially fail.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flexibility and scalability<\/strong>: With PoE, I can position my surveillance cameras flexibly as no power sockets are required nearby. This allows greater freedom in the design of my monitoring system and facilitates future expansions.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Disadvantages_of_PoE_technology\"><\/span>Disadvantages of PoE technology<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Initial costs<\/strong>: The use of PoE entails higher initial costs, as PoE-capable network devices and cameras are generally more expensive than non-PoE-capable models.<\/p>\n<p>These higher costs can be a hurdle, especially if you are planning a larger monitoring system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Network infrastructure<\/strong>: The installation of a PoE system may require an upgrade of the existing network infrastructure.
