  • Slope stabilization – stack gabions safely on top of each other

    Over a period of a few weeks, I built the first row of gabions over a length of around 30 meters. A relatively straight section was followed by a slight bend. By placing the gabions inside each other, I was able to form a corner on the south-east side. Towards the end, the difference in height to the existing gabion wall was ensured via a terraced structure of the subsoil. As this was not enough to safely support the entire slope behind the wall, I had to stack the stone baskets in a second row.     A few years ago, I converted part of the basement into an office with a kitchenette – but without its own sink. Since then, my wife has been running her insurance office there as insurance broker Florian. In the last few years and months, I have been more concerned with the entrance area around the estate agent’s office.
